AOTEAROA NZ IS NOT FOR SALE FORUM: PLANNING FOR THE NEXT STAGE OF THE MOVEMENT

The Aotearoa NZ Is Not For Sale movement is hosting a hui this Thursday May 17 from 7pm in lecture room B15 under the University of Auckland library. Following the great turnout of concerned New Zealanders at the Hikoi Against Asset Sales and the Auckland demonstration on April 28, we warmly invite everyone concerned about the current state of affairs to join us in a forum to plan the next step in the campaign to defend our assets, jobs and environment from neoliberal attack.
Key note speakers are:
Phil Twyford from the NZ Labour Party, Julie Anne Genter from the Green Party, Hone Harawira from Mana, Marion Peka from the front lines of Glenn Innes, and Joe Carolan from Socialist Aotearoa.
ANFS spokesperson Miriam Pierard will chair the forum, and there will be time for questions and discussion following the speakers.
The Hikoi and demonstrations around the country in the last month were just the beginning. We have a long struggle ahead of us, but with the majority of New Zealanders opposing asset sales, the movement can only gain further momentum. Our future should not be compromised for the desire of a quick fix to a complex problem. Please join us to take action and become part of the solution.
We will not be divided like our assets. We will be united, we will not be silenced, we will resist this together.
